This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (“we”). If you use Drule for an organisation, you confirm you're allowed to accept them on its behalf. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data, and business customers can also rely on our data processing agreement.
Your account
- You need to be 16 or older to create an account. Players don't need one.
- Give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account per person. Workspaces let teams share quizzes and reports without sharing logins.
Plans, payments and renewals
- Free stays free, with the limits shown on our pricing page.
- Pro and Team are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly through Paystack. They renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime from Billing and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Event Pass is a one-time payment for 7 days of access. It doesn't renew; buying another adds 7 more days.
- Switching plans starts a new subscription and cancels the old one. Unused time on the old plan isn't refunded.
- If a renewal payment fails we'll let you know; after a short grace period the plan's extras pause until it's paid.
- Prices include or exclude tax as shown at checkout. If we change a price, we'll tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.
- Refunds: [refund policy, e.g. within 14 days of first purchase on request].
Your content
- Your quizzes are yours. You give us permission to store, copy and display them only as needed to run Drule for you and the people you play with.
- Public quizzes appear in the library for anyone to play, and other hosts can make their own copy to use. Keep a quiz private if you don't want that.
- Only add questions, images and links you have the right to use. We may hide a public quiz that breaks these terms or someone else's rights.
Acceptable use
Please don't use Drule to:
- break the law, or share content that's hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that exposes someone's private information;
- send spam, malware, or links meant to trick people;
- attack, overload, scrape or probe the service, or get around plan limits or security measures;
- pretend to be someone else, or collect players' personal data they wouldn't expect a quiz to collect.
If you do, we may remove content or suspend accounts. Where it's reasonable we'll warn you first.
Hosting and playing
Hosts decide what to run and who plays. If you host, tell players what you'll do with their answers — Drule shows every player that their nickname and answers are shared with you and saved in your report. Use anonymous mode when people should speak freely.
Slack and Microsoft Teams
Connecting Slack or Microsoft Teams is optional. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms, and we're not responsible for them. You can disconnect them anytime from the Team page.
Changes and availability
We work hard to keep Drule fast and available, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted, and there's no uptime guarantee unless we've agreed one in writing. We improve Drule all the time; if we remove something important from a paid plan, we'll tell you in advance.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Drule and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we ever shut Drule down, we'll give account holders at least [30 days] notice and a way to download their data.
Warranties and liability
Drule is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer. [Review with counsel for your jurisdiction.]
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [Country or state whose law applies]. If you're a consumer, you can also rely on the mandatory consumer protection laws where you live.
Changes to these terms and contact
If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell account holders before they apply. Questions? Email hello@drule.app or write to [Company legal name], [Registered address].
